Welcome to Storytime with Kray, where public domain meets public opinion—and everything is read in a voice so smooth it could sell overpriced whiskey or convince a goose to pay rent.

This episode is just a quick hello, a little intro to what this podcast is all about. No fancy sound effects, no dramatic reenactments—just me, some classic stories, and the kind of voice that makes even a wicked witch sound oddly comforting.

Before you begin this podcast, it's important to understand what you're going to experience. These stories are not the Disney versions you may know and love. These are the original tales as written centuries ago. These stories come from a different time and reflect the values, language, and sensibilities of their historical periods. They may contain elements that feel unfamiliar, darker, or more complex than modern adaptations. What you're getting instead are literary treasures in their authentic form, stories that have shaped our culture for hundreds of years and are now in the public domain. These are the tales that inspired countless adaptations and continue to influence storytelling today.

I'm Kray, and I'll be your storyteller on this trip back through vintage tales and forgotten fables. Season one brings you 10 short stories, one story per episode, twice a week. Aesop's Fables breaks that pattern with five quick hits in one go. Seasons two through five are going to switch gears. There'll be one longer story for each season, broken into chapters. Each chapter is its own episode, dropping two or three times a week so you don't lose the thread. So settle in for the real thing, the original narratives that started it all.
